CPF ALERT! Changes ahead!

CPF ALERT! Changes ahead!

This is an important piece of information for anyone working with CPF budgets.

As you know, for training to be funded by CPF you have to have a certification at the end which is listed on the Repertoire Specifique of France Compétences.

The 'code formation' you indicate for your CPF training is in fact the RS code of the test at the end.

For some time now, we've had quite a lot of choice regarding this test as most of the main certifications have been listed on the RS.

However, things are likely to change in 2022.

As a certifier myself, in charge of the BEST tests, I was aware that our 'date de validité' ended on 31/12/2021. We have a space on the France Compétences site that we can update as and when required. However, France Compétences didn't bother to flag up the fact that we'd all have to reapply to be put on the Répertoire as if from scratch this year. We had to work it out for ourselves! Consequently, some of us submitted our dossiers only recently, which has created a backlog at France Compétences.

For the BEST, we have been told that our dossier is unlikely to be examined before the end of the year. Consequently, after 31/12/21 no training dossiers with the BEST code (RS 535) will be able to begin until we have received an answer.

Also, we heard last week that while TOIEC and LILATE have been renewed, other certifications, including LEVELTEL, BRIGHT and GYMGLISH have been rejected. These certifiers are now in the process of re-applying, but will now go to the back of the queue - and have no guarantee of getting through. Some seem to hjave given up already!

We are conscious of the fact that there has always been a battle to keep languages a part of CPF. Some CPNE would rather that they weren't!

France Compétences has also confirmed its intention to 'faire le ménage' and to reduce the number of certifications (and especially language tests) eligible for CPF funding.

Attached is a chart produced by Linguaid showing where the various tests are at in their renewal process.

You can continue to confirm CPF courses using all the other certification codes until mid-December.

Anything confirmed after mid-December will automatically have a starting date 11 working days later. And any starting date as of 1/01/2022 will have to have an RS code of a certification that has already been approved by France Compétences.

We will of course be watching how this situation evolves and will keep you informed!
