Abondement for CPF contracts - how it is going to work

We have all been wondering how to manage CPF contracts through EDOF when there is an 'abondement' (additional funding) from one or more parties.

The fact is that it isn't yet possible on the EDOF site because this part of the site development isn't finished.

However, it soon will be according to the article in the link above.

In a nutshell, as of spring 2020 a job seeker will be able  to make a request for a matching contribution from Pôle emploi via his/her Moncompteformation account.

As of June a new portal will be opened to private employers to enable them to add funds to their employees' CPF accounts.

Subsequently, the portal will be open to other funders.

How will it work for employers in the private sector?

For grants made at the initiative of the employer (not linked to an individual  training project)

- The employer registers via the portal Net-entreprises.fr and has access to the moncompteformation service.
- The employer identifies the type of funding it wishes to allocate
- It identifies the beneficiary(ies): employee social security number /Name)
- It specifies the amount to be allocated
- It makes the payment by bank transfer or credit card
- Upon receipt of payment the Caisse des Dépôts registers the funds in the employee's account and informs the employee of the funds available
- At the same time, the Caisse des Dépôts notifies the employer when the payment is made and provides proof of payment.

To contribute to the financing of a training project requested by an employee who does not have enough funding on his/her account:

- The employee identifies the course he/she wishes to take

- He/she uploads a document in MyTrainingAccount detailing his project to submit to his employer.

- If the employer agrees to make a financial contribution to the employee's training, he tops up the employee's account using the same process as for employer-initiated grants.
